Ingredients
Method
Techniques
  • 2 lb chicken tenders
Pat 2 lb chicken tenders dry with paper towels so the egg and breading hold.
  • 2 whole large eggs
Lightly beat 2 large eggs in a shallow dish.
  • 2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
In another shallow dish combine 2 cups panko with 1 teaspoon paprika and 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
Seasoned panko for crunch without oil
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp pepper
Season the tenders evenly on both sides with about 1.5 teaspoons salt and 0.75 teaspoon pepper.
Working two at a time, dip each tender in egg with a fork, let the excess drip off, press into the panko, and set on a lined baking sheet.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 Fahrenheit before starting to dredge.
Spraying and air frying
  • olive oil mist
Spray the basket and the tops of the tenders with olive oil; place sprayed side down with room for air to circulate, and spray the tops again.
Air fry at 400 for 6 minutes on the first side, working in batches.
Cook the second side about five more minutes; cool until just cool enough to touch.
