Broiled asparagus and broccoli

Trim off the woody bottom third of the asparagus; keep the ends for veggie stock.

Put everything on a tray with oil and seasoning, keeping the two vegetables separate in case one cooks faster.

Cook fast under the broiler (or in a super hot oven); stir after a few minutes so more surfaces brown while the inside stays cool.

Done in under ten minutes; the asparagus could have come out a minute sooner.
