Butter cookies

Preheat the oven; cream the room-temperature butter with the sugar and a pinch of salt.

Mix in the egg, then the vanilla, then the milk.

Add the flour and mix until everything is well combined and a smooth paste forms.

Transfer the cookie paste into a piping bag with any tip, making sure there is no air in the bag.

Put the glaze in a small bag and cut off the end.

Pipe the cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet; the design depends on the tip.

Make a well in the centre of each cookie and pipe in the glaze.

Bake, then let cool a couple of minutes.
