  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 0.125 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp MSG
  • ¼ tsp white pepper powder
  • 0.125 tsp cayenne pepper
Mix the salt, sugar, chicken bouillon powder, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, MSG, white pepper powder and cayenne.
  • ½ tsp red yeast rice
Grind half a teaspoon of red yeast rice and add it, with a teaspoon of turmeric powder; mix.
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 20 whole chicken wings
Toss twenty chicken wings with the spices and massage them in by hand for a minute or two.
  • 2 tbsp water
Transfer to a storage bowl, rinse the remaining spices in with two tablespoons of water, cover and marinate in the fridge at least eight hours, ideally over twenty-four.
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp oil
Mix in half a teaspoon of baking soda and let sit 30 to 60 minutes; then mix in two tablespoons of oil.
Spread on a foil-lined baking tray and bake in a preheated 210C oven for 20 minutes.
  • 2 parts honey
  • 1 parts oil
Mix two parts honey to one part oil; brush onto the wings at the 20 minute mark and bake two more minutes; flip, brush again and bake two minutes more.
Rest a couple of minutes before serving.
