  • water
  • sea salt
Fill a stock pot a little over halfway with water, season generously with sea salt and heat over a high heat.
Creamy Marry Me pasta
  • 45 ml extra virgin olive oil
Heat a large fry pan over medium heat with the olive oil.
  • 1 whole onion
  • 6 cloves garlic
Finely chop the onion and roughly chop the garlic, add them to the hot pan and mix continuously so they do not brown, about 3 minutes until the onions are slightly translucent.
  • 8 g all purpose flour
Add the flour and keep mixing for 2 minutes to cook off the raw flavour.
Cooking out the flour
  • 1 g dried oregano
  • ½ g dried thyme
  • 1¼ g sweet smoked Spanish paprika
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper
Add the oregano, thyme, paprika and crushed red pepper and mix quickly.
The spice blend
  • 180 ml vegetable broth
  • 240 ml milk
Add the vegetable broth and the room temperature milk and mix gently.
Building the cream sauce
Keep mixing 4 to 5 minutes until it is a slightly creamy sauce.
  • 55 g chopped sundried tomatoes
  • sea salt
  • freshly cracked black pepper
Add the chopped sundried tomatoes, season with sea salt and black pepper, mix and lower to a low heat.
  • 225 g panini pasta
Once the water boils add the pasta, stirring every 2 to 3 minutes, and cook to al dente per the package instructions.
Transfer the pasta directly from the stock pot into the pan with the cream sauce, a little starchy water along with it, and turn off the heat.
Finishing in the sauce
  • 15 g grated cheese
  • 10 g chopped fresh basil
Add the grated cheese, the chopped basil and the lemon juice and mix until well combined.
  • 10 ml fresh lemon juice
Serve out of the pan or into serving dishes.
