Ingredients
Method
Techniques
- 1 cup flour
- 3 whole eggs
- ⅓ cup milk
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 block block of whole milk mozz
Slice the block of low-moisture mozzarella into sticks, not too thick because of the double breading.
- garlic and herb seasoning
- paprika
- salt
- pepper
Season every component with garlic and herb seasoning, paprika, salt and pepper: the flour, the eggs whisked with milk, and a mix of seasoned and panko breadcrumbs.
Dredge each stick in flour, shaking off the excess; dip in egg; press into the breadcrumbs to seal; then back into the egg for a double layer of breading.
- vegetable frying oil
Heat about an inch of vegetable frying oil in a large skillet; set a rack over a baking sheet.
- ½–⅔ cup Frank's Buffalo Sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp honey
For the sauce, combine buffalo sauce, butter and honey in a small pan and let it cook and boil a bit.
The hot honey buffalo sauce
Fry the sticks in batches about a couple of minutes per side; drain on the rack so they do not get soggy.
