How to Slice a Mango

Locate the fleshy cheeks on either side of the thin, fibrous seed and mark a circle about one inch across in the centre of each cheek.

Peel the whole mango except the two circles, which stay as safe grips.

Take a very small slice off the bottom so the mango stands up.

Holding the two patches of peel, slice down either side of the seed in a slight arc to remove the cheeks.

Peel the last bit of skin off each cheek, slice in one direction and cross-cut in the other into cubes.
