Ingredients
Method
Techniques
  • 90 ml lukewarm milk
  • 9½ g sugar
  • 5–6 g active dry yeast
  • 113½ g melted butter
  • 4 g vanilla extract
  • 1½ whole eggs
  • 180 g flour
  • 1½ g salt
  • 150 g pearl sugar
Pour lukewarm milk into a small bowl, sprinkle sugar and active dry yeast on the surface and leave 15 minutes until the yeast turns to a soft foam.
Add melted butter, vanilla extract and eggs to the milk mixture and stir with a whisk until combined.
In a larger bowl stir the flour with a pinch of salt.
Make a well in the flour, pour in the liquid mixture and mix to a soft dough.
Leave in a warm place, uncovered, for half an hour until doubled; an oven on its lowest setting serves.
Mix the pearl sugar into the risen dough.
