Microwave sticky toffee pudding

Melt butter in a mug in the microwave and swirl it all the way around the edge.

Add a tablespoon of brown sugar and some water; microwave until the sugar melts.

Beat an egg with heavy cream and date syrup until well mixed; add baking powder, then flour, mixing just until there are no lumps.

Pour back into the mug and microwave about a minute and a half.

Turn out upside down; top with chopped dates, a little powdered sugar and more date syrup.
