- 2 cans canned tuna in olive oil
Drain two cans of tuna in olive oil through a fine sieve over a bowl and gently flake the tuna to remove excess oil.
One-pan tuna spaghetti
- 45 ml olive oil
- 1 whole onion
- 5 cloves garlic
Heat a large fry pan over medium heat with 45 ml of the tuna oil, and finely chop the onion and roughly chop the garlic.
Add the chopped onion and garlic and stir continuously 3 to 4 minutes until the onion is translucent and nothing browns.
Add the smoked paprika and dried thyme and mix quickly to coat the garlic and onion.
- 2½ g sweet smoked Spanish paprika
- ½ g dried thyme
- 410 g canned tomato sauce
- sea salt
- black pepper
Add the canned tomato sauce, season with sea salt and black pepper, mix and simmer 3 to 4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 600 ml vegetable broth
Add the vegetable broth, turn up to high heat and bring to a boil.
- 225 g spaghetti
Add the spaghetti and stir every 1 to 2 minutes so it does not stick, for 7 to 8 minutes until much of the broth is absorbed.
Cover, lower to a low medium heat and simmer another 2 to 4 minutes until the spaghetti is al dente. Check the package instructions.
- 8 g parsley
Remove the lid and take the pan off the heat, add the drained tuna and the chopped parsley and mix through.
