Techniques
Preheat the oven to 350.
  • 2 whole pita bread
Chop the pita bread into bite-sized pieces and bake a couple of minutes until crisp; set a timer.
  • ½ whole red onion
  • 3 whole radishes
Thinly slice the red onion and radishes.
Leave the baked chips in the pan to cool gradually so they do not trap steam and go soggy.
  • 1 whole cucumber
  • 1 whole green bell pepper
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
Chop the cucumber into bite-sized pieces, chop the bell pepper small, and halve the cherry tomatoes.
  • 450 g romaine lettuce
Wash and chop the romaine and dry it completely in a salad spinner so it does not dilute the dressing.
  • 20 g fresh mint
Add the fresh mint.
Grate the garlic into a small jar with salt, sumac, lemon juice and olive oil and shake.
  • 1 pieces garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sumac
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
Pour the dressing over the salad, toss and plate, then top with the crisp pita chips.
