- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 tbsp instant pudding mix
- milk

- melted butter
Mix a 15-ounce box of yellow cake mix with 2 tablespoons of instant pudding mix, milk, eggs and melted butter; the recipe calls for sour cream as well, replaced here with a little more milk.
- heavy cream
- powdered sugar
- instant vanilla pudding mix
Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and a little more instant vanilla pudding mix, which stabilises it so it holds for days in the fridge.
Spread the whipped cream over the cake, leaving the edges exposed or going corner to corner, or pipe it.
Strawberries and a jam glaze
- 1–2 tsp water
Loosen a couple of tablespoons of seedless strawberry jam with a teaspoon or two of water in the microwave for about 10 seconds and drizzle it over the top.
