- 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
- freshly ground pepper
- ¼ tsp baking soda

- 1½ tsp cornstarch
Coat the beef in the cornstarch, then set it aside for at least 30 minutes.
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
Mix the oyster sauce, light soy sauce, water, cornstarch, sugar, ground pepper and a little salt into a sauce.
Mixing the sauce
- salt
- green and red peppers
- onion
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
Cut the green and red peppers into big chunks and prepare the onion and minced garlic.
Heat the wok on the highest setting for 10 seconds, add the vegetable oil and toss to coat the bottom.
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Fry the beef 15 to 20 seconds a side, turning every 15 seconds, until golden brown. Take it out and set aside.
Add about a tablespoon more oil and stir fry all the vegetables for about 2 minutes, until the onion turns transparent.
Turn the heat to low, return the beef with the sauce and mix quickly until the sauce thickens. Taste for salt.
